We are currently seeking a dedicated career and guidance counselor for the Munin school unit at Strömbackaskolan in Piteå Municipality, who wants to inspire, motivate, and guide our students. Here, you will find the Economics Program, Aesthetic Program, Sales and Service Program, and Restaurant and Food Program. The career and guidance counselor will be part of our student health team, where we work from a holistic perspective where learning and health go hand in hand.

Responsibilities

As a career and guidance counselor at our high school, you will:

• Provide individual guidance to students regarding study and career choices.
• Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to support students' development.
• Stay updated on educational pathways, labor market, and career development.
• Be an important part of the youth's development and well-being.

Qualifications

We are looking for a qualified career and guidance counselor who works to inspire and support others. Previous experience as a career and guidance counselor, preferably within high school, is an advantage.

You have:

• Good collaboration skills and work well with others. Relate to them in a responsive and smooth manner. Listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively.
• A service-oriented approach and you are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions. You have the interest, willingness, and ability to help others and strive to deliver solutions.
• Creative ideas and new approaches to work-related issues. You have innovative thinking that can be put into practice and leads to results.

More about the position

The position is a permanent employment at 80%. Start date is 2026-04-01 or by agreement.
